About Us
Michael and Helena Fox is an Australian and Czech couple with 3 children. With 20 years in the holiday accommodations service industry in Australia, UK, and Czech Republic, Mike’s apartment building in Praha now offer short term Prague holiday apartments accommodation fulfilling all your requirements for a successful stay in beautiful, exciting and historic Praga. A family run hands on business that has specialised in all aspects of building, renovation and short notice holiday flats and family travel for over twenty years.

You will stay in newly refurbished 35 square metre flats in an old 100 year old art nouveau mansion house at the foot of Vysehrad Fortress, the site of the first castle and eleven hundred year old round house. There are 8 furnished flats (with Satellite TV) that are all newly renovated: one, two and three bedroom ones and a studio flat with twin beds). All with new en suite bathrooms and fully equipped small kitchens with everything you need (including washing machines, microwave ovens).The flats are clean and serviced with beds made up and towels provided.
Mike’s apartment building is privately owned and managed by us. We offer a helpful on the ball service. We are always available if you have any questions, requests or worries please contact us. We will call you back if you would like.
This safe, quiet Prag Old centre street is called Slavojova (see flat finder). It is next (3 minutes away) to the historical walled Fort, Church and Park, the first Castle (Vysehrad) in the old centre of Praga and is 500 metres from the famous Vltava river that runs through the Praga. The park 2 minutes away. Vysehrad Fortress is beautiful elevated parkland, the site of the first establishment in Praha, featuring the oldest 1100 year old round house in the Czech Republic.
Central Prag is a 15 minutes walk along the river or through the winding streets. Public transport (see Tourism for info.) is excellent and safe; our trams run every 5 mins. (15 minutes at night) taking you to and from everywhere in Praga. 'National Avenue' (stop: Narodni Trida), The National Theatre, or Charles Bridge are 5 stops away, from where all sight seeing is done on foot. The tram stops are one minute walk away and cost only 8 Crowns, 0.25 Euro, 19p UK. Central Praha, the famous Old Town Square of Prag and all the tourist favourites are 15 minutes walk or 7 minutes by tram (see map of central Prague). Taxis are usually available on our doorstep. The Prag Congress and Exhibition Centre and the Vysehrad Metro (underground Praga city train) station is 5 minutes walk away.
There is a 3 star hotel opposite where breakfast costs 120 Czech Crowns / 4.14 Euro. A little convenience and milk bar shop is next door next door at No. 3 for buying fresh bread, milk, fruit, vegetables, beer, wine and everything you’ll need.
All beds are made up and towels provided.

You can pay in any currency on arrival.

How to find us?
Go to: 5 Slavojova Street, Praha 2 - Vysehrad.
It is our privately owned building of flats. There is an office on the right hand side at the front of the building. Please ring the bell and someone will come to you.
By air:
Option 1. - Cedaz mini-bus: 480 Crowns total for upto 4 people. Tickets from the driver or at the Cedaz booth just inside exit E (free map too). Walk out of the arrivals hall to the taxi rank; look right to see white mini-buses with Airport-Centrum on. Show the driver our address: Slavojova 5, Vysehrad (on your confirmation of booking) and you will be taken directly to our front door where we will be waiting for you.
Option 2. - Immediately outside the arrival hall are silver taxis. It is wise to agree a fare of usually 700 Crowns.
Option 3. - Airport Bus (# 119) to Dejvicka Metro stop, or (# 100) to Zlicin, Line B to Museum stop, change to Line C - 2 stops to Vysehrad. Then a 5 minute downhill walk to us. Call us for possible collection.
Arrival by Train:
Holesovice Station - Buy a 20 Crown ticket. Within the station you take Metro Line C (red) direction ''Haje'', go 6 stops straight to ''Vysehrad'' and then a quick 5 minute downhill walk to us.
Hlavni Nadrazni (Central Station) - take Metro Line C direction "Haje", go 3 stops to ''Vysehrad''.
By Road: Simple entry by car avoiding suburbs and traffic lights, saving time and confusion. Arrival by car from all Motorways: on the outskirts of Prag turn on to the Ostatni Transit (ring road). Simply follow this around into Prag and take the exit Branik / Centrum.You will then be on the western side of and running alongside the Vltava River on Modranska Street heading in the direction of the centre. Follow this road for about 5 minutes and you will pass under a short natural rock tunnel at the Vysehrad Fortress. Immediately take the second turn to the right into Vnislavova Street, just before the railway bridge that goes over the river. Drive up this street 500 Metres and Slavojova No. 5 is the third building on your left after a park on your right. See find apartments guide for more info.
By Tram: The stop is: Ostrciliovo Namesti. The following tram numbers from most areas in Prag run every 5 minutes: 18, 7 and 24. 53 and 55 run all night at 15 minutes intervals.

By Taxi: ask for Slavojova 5, Praha 120 00 “Vysehrad”.
